RED SUN
Red Sun is a TCG (Trading Card Game) focusing on the groups and artists brought to us by Korea's SM Entertainment, a company that more or less takes kids and turns them into stars whether through acting, singing, or otherwise. This TCG is for fans of anyone currently or formerly under SM Entertainment. Decks will be focused on groups, solo artists, individual group members and things like PVs, tv shows and pretty much anything I can think of. Joining the TCG requires some knowledge of groups/artists/etc as many games will focus mainly on that sort of stuff (heck, even I know jack squat about some of these people 8D).
The name of the game obviously (or not so) comes from the first track of '06 Summer SM TOWN.
General Information
All players will begin with a starter deck of 7 cards (4 random & 3 from their choice deck), two white stars and one red star (stars will be given after you email back to let me know you have received your starter deck).
An online TCG works more or less the same way as a real one does (think Pokemon or something similar) - players give a list of their cards; what they're keeping, what they're willing to trade, etc, and trade with other players in order to master the deck(s) they are collecting.
Stars
Stars are the form of currency in this game and come in 4 types: white, red, blue, and gold. You can trade them in to get stuff - more cards, etc. You cannot, however, trade them with other players. You can get more stars by donating to the TCG, referring new members and playing the games.
White stars are the most common, and are worth one. Three white stars will
earn you one random card.
Red stars are the next step up, worth three (one red star = three white stars).
One red star will earn you one random card.
Blue stars are the highest value, worth six. One blue star will earn you one
random card from your choice deck.
Gold stars are elusive bastids. These are given out on occasion, but more
often than not you cannot win them in a game. They're in a class all of their
own and worth two choice cards and one random card OR your choice polaroid and
one card from choice deck.
Trading
Trading is easy. Players will have either a form or an email address you can contact them with about a trade (you can also find a form to email the person on the member list). A lot of people keep wishlists of cards or decks they would like to collect, but many will trade cards they aren't collecting for cards you offer. It is the person you offered your card to's decision whether they will accept or deny your offer. If your offer is accepted, send them the card and they will send you yours. Once you have the card you traded for, take down the one you traded and put your new card up.
All players are required to keep a log of their trades, purchases and prizes. The more specific it is, the better and easier it is for everyone. Ideally it would look something like this.

Mastering a Deck
When you collect all the cards in a deck (mastered the deck), go to the forms page and enter your information into the Mastered Deck form. The prizes are different depending on how many cards the deck has. The first 3 people to master a deck will also receive a badge for mastering their deck.
10 card deck: You will earn one choice card,
two random cards and a gold star.
15 card deck: You will earn two
choice cards, two random cards and a gold star.
20 card deck: You
will earn two choice cards, three random cards and a gold star.
25 card
deck: You will earn three choice cards, three random cards and a gold star.
SM Town
SM Town is this TCG's shop, where you can trade in your stars or doubles for more cards or other items. Since this TCG only has 7 levels, extras other than card count are needed in order to level up.
Polaroids are sort of like cards, only not. They are required for leveling. They may be traded, but only for other polaroids (meaning you cannot trade a card for a polaroid). For the most part polaroids are exclusive, only one of a particular person is posted at a time and once someone buys it, it's gone. Polaroids may occasionally be rotated back in, so check back every so often.
CDs are just another fun thing to collect, and are required for leveling. Unlike polaroids, more than one of any given cd will be sold each rotation. However, cds may not be traded.
Status/Quitting
If you are going to be on hiatus for a length of time, it would be a good idea to let me know through forms page so I can update the trader list and your inbox won't be flooded with trade requests. However it is entirely up to you whether you want to be listed as on hiatus or not. All members who have not been active for two months will be listed as inactive.
If you would like to quit the TCG, please zip up all your cards/polaroids/stars/etc and attach them to an email telling me you're quitting.
